Description Two letters, the first from Joseph Walker, who was organizing a visit to the fair for a group of fifty African Americans, asking about the 'treatment of Negro visitors of the fair.' The reply from the committee assures Mr. Walker that there would be no discrimination and that all fair exhibits and entertainments were open to any person, regardless of race.
