Additional Notes | E. C. Kellogg and Co. was a lithography firm in Hartford, Connecticut between 1851 and 1854. Elijah Chapman Kellogg (1811-1881) and his brother, Edmund Burke Kellogg (1809-1872) were partners in a lithograph firm called E.B. & E.C. Kellogg which began in 1842. The Kellogg brothers took on John Chenavard Comstock (1818-1862) as a partner in 1848 and changed the name to Kellogg & Comstock until the partnership dissolved in 1850. E.C. Kellogg worked on his own for a period of time producing decorative prints, the landscapes in particular are known for being exceptional. In 1854 the brothers reunited and reformed E.B. & E.C. Kellogg. |
