Additional Notes | From the Henry S. Rothrock collection of DuPont Company miscellany. Herny S. Rothrock, DuPont research chemist and Delaware tennis champion, was born at Bloomington, Ind., on September 17, 1906, and graduated with a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania in 1930. He immediately joined the staff of the Experimental Station of E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Company as a research chemist and supervisor, obtaining 56 patents, chiefly in the field of polymer chemistry. He served ten years at liaison manager in the Central Research Department, retiring in 1971. He died at Wilmington on May 12, 1986. |
